God's call to prophets has not diminished. God is still calling men and women, prophets, to speak and prophecy to individuals, churches, and yes, to nations. The prophetic voice is a voice to and for nations. Right now, God is raising up an end-time army of prophets to nations to speak and prophecy to nations.

God wants to have an influence in and on the nations. Jesus, after his resurrection, sent us to disciples all nations. The church, after Peter's heavenly vision, was opened to the nations. Jesus Christ is a light to all peoples, the nations. We need to have a heart to see nations saved, healed and delivered.

But, too few are focused on nations. Most are focused on individuals. Some are focused on churches. Few are focused on nations. But, if we can touch nations, we can change the course of cultures for generations to come, or until Christ returns, whichever comes sooner.

What am I saying? I am saying that prophets must rise above the the "chicken" visions to that of eagles. We must stop searching for our meat at ground level. We must break through our fear of offending peoples. Our eyes, yes our vision, must be raised. We must have a new perspective, a vision for nations.

Psalms 2:8 says, "Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen [nations] for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession." This is true prophetic vision. God's son is asking His Father, our Father, for the nations. Let's join Him in His prayer for the nations.

Prophets must start birthing prophecies to and for nations. We must have a heart for the nations. God is seeking prophets to go to the nations. The nations need to hear the word of the Lord, for as Amos 3:7 says, God will do nothing unless He reveals His secrets unto His servants the prophets.

Prophets are called to nations. God raised Jeremiah up to speak to the nations. I believe God is asking the question: Where are my Jeremiahs? Where are those who will stand up and speak up even in the face of adversity? Jeremiah spoke. God responded. God spoke. Jeremiah responded. Jeremiah is the picture of a prophet to the nations.

Jeremiah interceded before he spoke to the nations. God used Jeremiah as a vessel to pray and speak to both Israel and Babylon. God used Jeremiah to pray and then speak to other nations. Jeremiah was recognized as a prophet not just to Israel but to Babylon. Jeremiah prophesied and nations listened. Why? Because nations recognize prophets called to nations.

One of my favorite movies lines is from a movie about the life of Dr. Peter Marshall. Dr. Marshall, in the movie, is speaking to his congregation, and he says, "America needs a prophet like an Elijah..." Yes, America needs a prophet today. Other nations need prophets today. We cannot survive without the prophetic voice. We need God to speak to us. Our national cry must become, "speak Lord, for your servant is listening."

How will prophets to nations function in our day in the midst of rampant unbelief? They will function as they always have. National unbelief is not a new phenomenon; it is nothing new. National immorality is not a new phenomenon; it is nothing new. God's response to both is national repentance brought by prophets to nations who have birthed those prophetic words they speak.

After Ezekiel had gone through his prophetic journeys with the Lord, God had an expectation of him. What was God's expectation? God expected Ezekiel to prophesy. Ezekiel was called to prophesy to a valley full of dead dry bones. This is often what prophets to nations start with dead dry bones.

God's question to Ezekiel, and to us: can these bones live? He is asking prophets today, can these dead [in trespasses and sins] nations live? How will nations turn to God? How will God come alive to walking dead people, zombies, in the nations? The answer begins with a question to from God to us, prophets: will you prophesy, my servants, so these bones can live?

Prophet's responses to specific nations will determine whether those nations live or die. Prophets can speak the blessing over nations, or they can speak curses. Or, prophets can withhold blessings from nations. Our choice to speak and prophesy determines whether nations live or die. It is time for prophets to realize their importance to God's purposes and plans with respect to the nations.

Men and women have sought to minimize the importance of prophets and prophetic ministry, especially to the nations. Prophets are more important today than ever. Prophets to nations must learn to birth prophecies for those nations to which they are called. Like Elijah, we must pray until we see a cloud the size of a man's hand appear over the nations.

God's touch often begins with a man's hand that has been birthed through prayer. God uses men and women, prophets, to speak and to birth the touch of an anointed man or woman of God. Without an anointed touch from anointed men and women, nations die. It is this simple.

Every nation, big or small, must receive prophetic ministry, if it wants to survive. Nations need prophets. Prophets needs to speak to nations. God is calling prophets to prophesy to nations. The nations are waiting for pure prophetic voices. God is asking prophets to birth those prophecies through prayer.

If prophets birth prophetic words to nations through prayer, then God will revive those nations with national repentance. If not, then nations will die. We are standing at a critical inflection point amongst the nations; we are about to see the rise and fall of many nations. Borders will change.

During these changing times, prophets are called to be a voices of guidance and reason to nations. We must prophesy hope in hopeless situation; we must speak to the best in people, not the worst; we must prophesy what can be, not what is. We must birth prophecies through prayer that can cause dead bones [nations] to live.
