Today, some are claiming disclosure of aliens is coming to America. People are discussing this “hot topic”. And the Bible reveals alien entities, demons, who manifested in the Old Testament to the world. Some of those fallen angels mated with woman. That is what the Bible teaches. Further, the book of Enoch, which was referenced by Jesus, the Apostle Peter, and the Apostle Jude, talks about that exact thing. Although not canonical, it’s historical and referenced by Christ and the New Testament authors. That means, we should pay attention to it. The book of Enoch describes what happened after fallen angels mated with women.
In (Genesis 6:4, NLT), it says, “In those days, and for some time after, giant Nephilites lived on the earth, for whenever the sons of God had intercourse with women, they gave birth to children who became the heroes and famous warriors of ancient times.” That ancient world prepared the way for the days of Noah. In Noah’s day, God said, “I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them.” (Genesis 6:13, NIV). How do those stories relate to us? Jesus said, “As it was in the days of Noah, so will it be at the coming of the Son of Man.” (Matthew 24:37, Berean Standard Bible). That answer was in response to a question asked by His disciples, “Tell us, when will all this happen? What sign will signal your return and the end of the world?” (Matthew 23:3, NLT). That question was specifically in reference to His second coming.
Jesus has not come a second time yet. The angel who was at His ascension said, “This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.” (Acts 1:11, NIV). Contrary to some false and erroneous teaching, that hasn’t happened. But He is coming back. Of that, we can be assured. Meanwhile, we shouldn’t do what scripture warns us some will do before He comes again, “They will say, ‘What happened to the promise that Jesus is coming again? From before the times of our ancestors, everything has remained the same since the world was first created.’” (2 Peter 3:4, NLT). His coming is sure. The timing of His coming is unknown. Jesus said, “no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows.” (Matthew 24:36, NLT).
Still, there’s a war taking place around us. And most of the time, we are unaware that battle is taking place. Daily, we face a war of worlds…a war of worldviews. Much of the conversation and conflict in the Church is over worldviews. In fact, our world is being controlled by worldviews, often, demonic ones. And against those worldviews, the Church has largely been defenseless. Unlike the writers of the New Testament and New Testament Church leaders, we haven’t known how to confront, refute, and defeat demonic worldviews promoted throughout society. Love him or hate him, Charlie Kirk did that. And he began to win young people by doing that. He tore down demonic strongholds in the minds of young people on topics like sexual identity, racism, and abortion. In doing so, worldviews started changing.Notice, the Apostle Peter is telling us to have an answer that’s logical. Not just a scriptural answer, a logical one. The late T.L. Osborn always wanted students in his Bible college classes to think. He admired thinkers. He provoked his students to give an answer questions that didn’t depend on the Bible or a Bible verse. I’m so glad that I heard him teach his students to think. Thank you, Robert Tilton, for having him at your Word of Faith Bible college. Although I have a deep and healthy respect for the Bible, I have also learned to sharpen my mind and approach things through other avenues of thought. How I wish more believers thought about what they say before they actually said it. We’d have a lot less issues in the Church and world.
Church, the theater of battle for the world is over worldviews. And right now, someone, usually being influenced by the demonic, is in control of what has been described as the megaphones of culture by Dinesh D’Souza. That shouldn’t be the case. We must recapture those megaphones of culture. And the only way to do that is to engage with that culture, as Charlie Kirk did. However, before we can engage culture, we must learn how to think. We must learn the laws of logic. We must learn scripture. We must know history. And we must know facts and figures. That’s how we can win the war of worldviews. And, we must pray. Without prayer, all the aforementioned will be of no avail. Why? As the Apostle Paul understood, “The god of this world has blinded the minds of those who don't believe.” (2 Corinthians 4:4, God’s Word Translation).
